Course Overview:
This introductory course is designed to provide knowledge and understanding of Halal Assurance Programs based on international halal standards, MPI Notices, and the New Zealand Export Halal Scheme.
What is covered:
• NZQA Unit Standard 25926: Shariah-based production and certification of halal food and products.
• NZQA Unit Standard 21623: Halal slaughter requirements in meat processing.
• NZQA Unit Standard 25927: Preparing, slaughtering, and processing animals to meet halal standards.
